Nema 23 z-axis and Laser
Hello all,
1. I wasn't able to find the components for a Nema 23 z-axis upgrade in the shop. Is this still available or do I have to acquire one elsewhere?
2. What is the status of the co2 laser project? I am planning to build a Lasersaur but ordering all parts from Misumi and other recommended suppliers would make the laser cost around €7000 (!)

I dont know, but u can make ur own Upgrade :)
Do u have a ShapeOko from this shop?

Yes I ordered my shapeoko 2 from this shop about six months ago and have been using it happily ever since. However, I am doing some larger projects now and could use the extra power from the nema 23 motors. For the X and Y axis I have already read on this forum that they can be easily installed with new pulleys and some 4mm or 5mm spacers. For the Z axis however, I wouldn't know how to acquire the anti-backlash nema 23 plates. How could I build such a thing?

Hello,
in the past, I had a normal job and have operated the store as a side job. Therefore, I had little time to make new projects complete. I would now like to devote full time to the shop and hope to be able to offer more products as soon.
I have a set for the z-axis in preparation. It will still take about two weeks until it is then available in the shop for sale.
I'm working on a set for a laser. The set will then be "similar" to the Buildlog, but not completely equal. I hope to have finished it in the next few months.

Will the laser cutter adjustable in size (so it can match the working area 122x61cm of the lasersaur) ?

Hello there,
unfortunately, the news is not so good, for you!
I've figured it all out, and such a shop alone will not feed its operators. Therefore, I will continue working in the Bank, which of course delayed my projects.
The z-axis kit has the highest priority now. I'll block my time on this weekend to be able to offer the kit to you as soon as possible.
The Lasersaur is really very big. I was thinking more about the open builds laser. But the profiles can made longer. I'm sorry, but unfortunately I can not offer a complete set. The laser tube with power supply and the drive has to buy yourself by everyone. It will be more expensive when I import the tubes than if each of you imported a single piece (without customs ;-) ). But the laser is still delayed now. Next I'll put together the ORD bot. This project is waiting much longer.
I'm very sorry, but I only have two arms and little time!
